Thursday and we're baking again. With the mast prone we motor back to Cayuga-Seneca canal, ride up Lock 2 and 3 and into the harbor at Seneca Falls. It's Peter's first lock and he helps keep Eclipse in position as the water in the lock swirls around and lifts us up.
We find a place to tie up along the wall, and check out the Seneca Museum of Waterways and Industry. Three levels celebrating manufacturing here. Goulds Pumps is the only one still operating, but Sylvania/Phillips were making vacuum tubes and TV tubes, Also produced here are lathes and other workshop tools, fire engines, cars, and socks. We meet Hanna at the front desk here, and revel in our common polymathism.
Peter bakes an amazing beef wellington for dinner, then we kill off a half gallon of ice cream. Too much.
