2019: Cape Cod Adventure, Day 2

Day 2, June 29. Piscataqua

Saturday was a dismal and threatening forecast, but turned out to be just a hot, humid day with no wind. Mark joined us for lunch at Goat Island, then for burgers at Great Bay Marina for dinner. Big thunderheads could be seen around us, but none hit.

Until about midnight, that is! We were securely tied to a mooring behind Hen Island, Newington, and in the middle of the night a brief but vigorous t-storm went right over us. Lots of wind and heavy rain with flashes every half minute and nearly constant thunder. Exciting for half an hour.
